Park history
Résidence du Château de Salles holiday park is set within the historic grounds of the former Château de Salles, an estate dating back to the 17th century and shaped by the natural landscape of southwest France. Built between 1657 and 1659 by the Pontac family of Bordeaux, the château was overseen by Artaud Masson, with Charles Dupuy as its gardener. For centuries, the land combined woodland, watercourses, and agriculture.
During the French Revolution, the castle belonged to Monsieur de Pichard, who was guillotined along with his wife and steward. Ownership later passed through several hands, including Raoul Brun and Monsieur Choquet, a Parisian lawyer, before being sold to a Dutch group, which owned the property until 2022. On June 10, 2022, the municipality of Salles acquired the château, its outbuildings, and surrounding land.
Redeveloped into a holiday residence with great care, the estate preserves its original character. The villas follow the natural contours of the land, offering green spaces, privacy, and calm, while combining historic charm with modern comfort.

Yes, but only a limited number of houses are designated for pets, and we allow one dog per booking. A surcharge for pets will be applied and shown when you make your booking. You must indicate during the booking process if you plan to bring a pet. While at the park, all dogs must be kept on a leash. Special house rules for pets will be provided to you upon arrival.
